As Director of Research at EXPLO Elevate, Sudipti oversees the team’s research agenda which includes both managing and conducting small and large-scale research studies on topics that are relevant, practical, and useful to members.
Sudipti began her career as a high school math teacher in Brooklyn and as a fifth-grade math and science teacher in Boston. She deeply values the opportunity that teaching gave her: to work with students across socio-economic backgrounds to instill joy, excitement, and rigor in their learning. She has worked for the NYC Department of Education and Boston Public Schools as well as non-profits focused on teacher quality. While at the National Council on Teacher Quality, she studied school district human capital policies and practices affecting teacher quality; the findings and in-depth recommendations she produced served as a blueprint for initiating change within the district.
In her most recent role at the National Center for Teacher Residencies, she managed the next-generation network, which includes 30+ teacher residency programs from across the nation. Her work included developing programming content based on current research, studying the residencies’ best practices, and producing research pieces, as well as direct consulting to individual programs.
Sudipti received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business, her Masters in Public Administration in education policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and her Masters in Education from Brooklyn College.
