Indu Chugani Singh is the dean of teaching and learning at Milton Academy, where she leads and designs professional learning experiences for the faculty of the upper school. Indu’s commitment to teacher inquiry and reflection guide her programming, including professional goal-setting, student feedback, peer observation, and the use of protocols for teacher collaboration. Indu is also an instructor in the Independent School Teaching Residency (ISTR) at the Penn Graduate School of Education.
Prior to her work at Milton, Indu taught English at the Winsor School in Boston, MA, and at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH. At Winsor, Indu co-designed an interdisciplinary course on Indian literature. For eight years, Indu also served as a faculty associate at the Institute for Writing and Thinking at Bard College.
At EXPLO Elevate, Indu’s areas of focus include teacher inquiry and professional learning cycles, school improvement, and equitable learning environments.
